Cannich is set in the centre of the beautiful area of Strathglass in the Scottish Highlands.
It is on the doorstep of the spectacular National Nature Reserve Glen Affric, which protects one of the few remaining areas of Ancient Caledonian pinewoods along with a wide range of wildlife. Look out for the red deer, red squirrels, otter, pine martins and much more.
The area is a peaceful place to relax and take in scenery, but for the more active there is the option to participate in many outdoor sports, including: walking, climbing, cycling, fishing, riding, golf and canoeing.

Walks
There are many tracks and trails along lochs, rivers and forests -choose a relaxing meander or a more challenging trek:

Climbs
The surrounding Glens of Cannich, Strathfarrar and Affric contain many Munros for those intrepid climbers prepared to go over 3000ft.

Wildlife
The National Nature Reserve Glen Affric is a haven for wildlife.
Whilst exploring keep an eye for Red Deer, Red Squirrels, Otters, Pine Martens, Black Grouse, Golden Eagles and much more.

Westward is directly on the route of the Affric- Kintail way, a superb, cross country long distance trail that takes in a variety of landscapes and stunning views.
We are in the perfect position for a comfortable 1 or 2 night stop over before heading off to the remote hostel in Glen Affric.
